The Charlie Froud Foundation’ has been set up in memory of Charlie, a 14 year-old boy who died in October 2008 when the light aircraft he was travelling in, crashed in the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland.
Over the years since that fateful day, the Charlie Froud Foundation has grown to be a registered charity that supports The Glenn of Imaal Mountain Rescue and a variety of good causes locally.
The volunteers of the Glen of Imaal Mountain rescue are the brave people who found the plane on that fateful day in October 2008. They searched tirelessly and then assisted in the recovery operation too.
We are proud to have brought many people together through events and challenges!
