NPUK (Niemann-Pick UK) is dedicated to making a positive difference to the lives of those affected by Niemann-Pick diseases & their families, from diagnosis to bereavement & beyond. Our vision is a world where the burden of these diseases is minimised, where those affected have access to effective therapies, can meaningfully participate in society, reach their full potential, and achieve the best possible quality of life.Niemann-Pick diseases (NPD) are rare, progressive, fatal inherited genetic conditions for which there is no specific treatment or cure - we are here for all those affected, their families and extended families, plus the professionals involved in their care. We provide a unique range of services, offering practical and emotional support, advice and information, and facilitate research into potential therapies, aiming to reduce isolation and anxiety, increase knowledge, confidence and resilience, and enable access to the best available care, treatment and social support.
