Freshford Pre-School

We are an Ofsted graded ‘Outstanding’ community-run preschool. We offer fun, creative and stimulating early years education and care for children aged 2.5 - 5 years. Our nurturing environment is shaped by our ethos: Explore, Create, Discover

We are open Monday-Wednesday 9am-3pm and Thursday 9am-1pm during school term times.

We give children opportunities to follow their fascinations and discover their capabilities, by planning our learning journey with them. Activities are designed around children’s individual needs and support their transition to school life. For children to have the confidence to explore and grow, they need to feel secure and know that their voice matters.

We are a registered charity, and fundraise throughout the year to enable us to buy new equipment and resources and engage external providers for e.g. music and sport. This ensures every child can access these opportunities without further charge. The operational funding we currently receive from central government does not fully cover our core costs, so fundraising is an important source of extra income that we use to make the preschool experience as wonderful as possible!
