Heidi's Heroes

Our charity is run completely by volunteers and aside from a small marketing budget, all of the money raised goes towards making our aims a reality.

Our three core objectives are to provide practical help and advice to those with cancer and their families; to support the bereaved and give disadvantaged children the courage and opportunity to learn a potentially life-saving skill – swimming.

The reason we chose these three core objectives was as a tribute to Heidi who was an international swimmer. Heidi was initially diagnosed and treated for breast cancer. Sadly the cancer returned and she died just months after her surgery, aged just 51. Her husband Paul was supported by the bereavement charity Cruse after her death.
