The London Basketball Association (LBA), a registered charity since July 2012, aims to inspire Londoners to embrace basketball, benefiting them on various levels. We enhance basketball infrastructure to make the sport accessible to all. We view sport as crucial to society, fostering community, employment, growth opportunities, and a healthy lifestyle. Basketball has the potential to tackle social issues like obesity, physical and mental health challenges, substance misuse, unemployment, crime, and postcode wars. LBA promotes social change in London’s disadvantaged communities through basketball. Our programs cater to all ages and skill levels, ensuring inclusive participation and benefits. We organize training sessions, leagues, and tournaments that promote fitness and teach life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and leadership. These activities provide constructive outlets, steering individuals away from negative influences toward positive development. Beyond sports, we focus on education and personal growth.
