Oasis Cancer Trust

Oasis Cancer Trust works to raise funds to improve all aspects of head and neck cancer treatment and support for patients in Manchester / North-West, and generally within the UK.Head and Neck Cancers are cancers that arise primarily from the mouth, throat (pharynx) and voice box (larynx). Head and Neck Cancers can also arise from or involve the lymph glands and salivary glands in the neck, the nose and sinuses and also the thyroid gland.There are around 12400 new cases of Head and Neck Cancer in the UK per year. It is the eighth most common cancer overall, and fourth most common in males. The disease and its treatment can effect crucial aspects of function and appearance.There remains much that can be made better to improve outcomes for patients and support for both patients and their carers.Our objective is to raise funds to support the Manchester Centre for Head and Neck Research and Innovation, which aims to improve all aspects of cancer care from diagnosis and new treatment approaches to better patient support and rehabilitation after treatment.Oasis Cancer Trust will also support patients and their carers throughout their cancer journeys, empowering patients through knowledge and access to support.
