Idea Space is a community arts charity based in Leytonstone, East London. we are committed to making the arts accessible to everyone – We’re passionate about helping children, young people and adults to discover and explore their creativity. We believe it’s key to fostering wellbeing, personal growth and building strong communities.
That’s why we run free, high quality workshops for all ages; from our popular art social for adults and creative club for children in schools to women-only workshops around safer streets.
Our running costs are kept to an absolute minimum, but we require around £5,000 a year to design and manage our projects, maintain our administrative base, write funding bids and submit annual accounts to the Charity Commission.
Any donation you can give would make a huge difference, ensuring art programmes remain free and open to all.
A gift of £10 could create:
A drawing workshop for an adult navigating mental health challenges.
The paint for a collaborative neighbourhood mural.
Special clay for a sensory workshop for children with SEND.
A contribution towards a community film project.
A gift of £20 could provide:
Sketchbooks for 10 young local artists.
Refreshments for a creative workshop for 15 people facing loneliness.
An hour of our coordinator's time to secure more funding or manage our space.
A gift of £50 could sustain:
It covers the essential admin—like writing a funding bid to keep our programs free, or the utilities for our community space for a week. This is the quiet work that makes all the loud, joyful creating possible.
Your support will mean that we can reach a wider audience with participants from more diverse backgrounds, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to join our accessible and free art programmes.
