Stepping Stones (the working name for Special Needs Enterprises (Norfolk) Ltd) provides education and training for adults with learning disabilities. Our students are supported to develop life skills through tutor-led workshops and activities. Our aim is to increase students' knowledge and confidence, encouraging them to lead more independent lives. We are a person-centred organisation and each students' learning is specifically tailored to meet their individual needs. Students are able to chose the subjects that interest them but are also encouraged to engage in new and challenging activities. We have six core areas that students can engage with:horticulture at our allotment;cookery in our commercial-scale kitchen;art in our art studio;technology in our music room, IT room and photography studio; domestic life skills in our independent living house and Supported Employment where students learn all aspects of Employment and try work experience, we support students to secure voluntary and paid work placements where possible so that this learning is consolidated elsewhere.. We receive referrals from a variety of sources but predominantly from parents and Norfolk Social Services. We provide opportunities for new skills to be practiced in a safe environment and support students to apply these skills at home. Our current income comes from contracts with Norfolk County Council and grants from charitable trusts. . Any donation you're able to give will go directly towards our range of activities, supporting our students on a day-to-day basis.
