Tony’s story
Last year our school turned 50 years old. This year we will be celebrating our anniversary and undertaking legacy projects that will benefit children now - and into the future. We plan to upgrade the library creating a stimulating learning space. We also want to transform the space currently occupied by the caretaker's house, at the front of the school, into an area that can be fully utilised and enjoyed by the children. The School Council will help to determine what that space will become, but in the meantime we need to raise funds!
So to start off our 50th anniversary fundraising, Tony Frisino, dad to Giorgio (Y1) and Federico (Y3), is going to walk 100km (over 60 miles) from 8th April to 8th May. Tony will be fitting this in around work, and his other commitments, and will update us each week on his progress by posting details of every walk he takes and the distance walked! Whatever Tony raises will be split 50/50 between the library upgrade and the new outside space.
Tony has already started training but to give him the motivation he needs to start this challenge - will you sponsor him to reach his target of 100km?
