Elise’s story
*THIS IS OUR NEW PAGE, our previous closed but we raised £280*
We have chosen to fundraise for Fifth Sense, a UK charity for people affected by smell and taste disorders, including Anosmia. The charity provide direct support and advice to any taste and smell disorder sufferers, act as a signpost to potential diagnosis and treatment and aim to raise awareness of the impacts experienced from these disorders.
This charity and cause is very important to our family as our mum, Joanne has been living with Anosmia for 2 years now. Losing her sense of smell and taste and being informed it will never return comes with significant challenges she has faced. With our fundraising, we aim to contribute to raising awareness for the role that senses play in our life’s and most importantly to ensure society are more aware of smell and taste disorders. A key mission of Fifth Sense which we hugely support is ensuring research is increased in order to develop the findings behind these disorders.
In aid of our fundraising for Fifth Sense, my sister Alexandra and I will be completing a skydive challenge in the earlier months of 2022 which we are extremely excited about. We are proud to be supporting Fifth Sense and hope we can make a difference in society.
Anyone wishing to support this us, you can do so by donating via our fundraising page, promoting our fundraising page online or visiting Fifth Senses website for more information about Anosmia.
