Ed’s story

Ed, Micheal and Michal are each runnning 4km on the hour every hour for 25 hours. Starting at 8pm on Friday 14th May and finishing at 9pm on the following day.

Ed is a regular volunteer for MtM and sees the impact the charity has first-hand with his visits to Elsie. Whilst Micheal and Michal have both volunteered and taken part in fundraisers for this fantastic charity before

The Move the Masses 'Miles Better' event is asking people to make a pledge to get outside in the fresh air, walk, run or cycle as many miles as possible and raise money as they go so that the charity can continue to support people to imporve their wellbeing through movement

All funds raised will be passed to the charity irrespective of whether my target is reached, not reached or exceeded.

Chosen charity - MOVE THE MASSES


At Move the Masses we enable people to improve their wellbeing through movement.

We help people become physically active through our brilliant one-to-one walking buddy project, Move Mates. Our wonderful volunteers walk alongside someone who would otherwise find it very difficult to get out on their own.

We also provide free access to friendly, inclusive pop-up fitness sessions in parks and open spaces, and promote simple ways to get moving for free on our Move Map.

Go the distance for Move the Masses this May

The Miles Better event is a bit of a celebration. With restrictions easing and the warm sunshine on our faces, things are really looking up!

As we dive head-first into summer busier than we've ever been before, we're asking you to make a pledge to get outside in the fresh air, get those miles in and raise vital funds to help us keep people moving.

You can complete your miles absolutely anyway that's right for you, you can walk, pedal, swim, run, scoot, dance, cartwheel.... so long as you're self-propelled, anything goes!
