James’s story
I am abseiling down the UK’s highest freefall abseil, the London ArcelorMittal Orbit on 14 October to raise money for Legasee - a team of volunteer film makers, writers, designers and storytellers who are passionate about capturing our military heritage. Legasee provides access to a hi-definition video archive of interviews with Veterans of military conflict from 1939 to the present day.
They have the largest, freely available film archive of British military Veterans on the web and their ambition is to record many more interviews so that the legacy of bravery and sacrifice of these men and women can be learned from by future generations.
