James’s story
I'm running 3 events finishing with the Hackney Half Marathon on 22nd May for a brilliant local charity who work with disadvantaged young people and their families.
Many of the people SkyWay work with live hand-to-mouth so the support they receive really does make a difference to their future prospects and approach to life.
All the money I raise will go towards the direct work SkyWay does with young people.
On Saturday 30 April I ran the Alexandra Palace Parkrun in 24 minutes finishing in 53rd place - that's in the top 25% at least :-)
On Monday 2nd April I also took part in the Vitality 10,000m run in central London finishing in less than 47 minutes, but still miles behind Mo Farah (and he didn't even win)!
I appreciate that there are so many people in need at the moment and so many good causes that need our attention. I thought for a while that the last few years of my life had been tough, but in the bigger picture my life has been blessed and very easy. So I am doing something for those less fortunate a bit closer to home for a change.
I would be grateful if you could make a donation - no matter how small!
Jim
