North’s story
On 11th and 12th January, a team of Scouts volunteers will be collecting Christmas trees from Stokesley, Northallerton and the surrounding areas.
The collection raises money for cancer charity Sarcoma UK, therefore we ask for a minimum donation of £5 per tree.
Sarcoma UK is a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments. It is the only cancer charity in the UK focusing on all types of sarcoma. Sarcomas are uncommon cancers that can affect any part of the body, on the inside or outside.
15 people are diagnosed with sarcoma everyday in the UK. That's about 5300 people a year!
