Holly’s story
I'm taking on the Brighton Marathon in April, the biggest physical challenge I've ever attempted and I am feeling super nervous. I'd love your support to keep me going as I put the miles in training and on the big day itself!
Blossom Africa is a small, volunteer-led organisation working to support communities in eastern Uganda with the impacts of climate change. I've volunteered as a trustee for the charity since 2019 and was lucky enough to visit the community in early 2020 (pre-lockdown!), and seen the impact that even small money of funding can have. Blossom Africa has a tree nursery (me in the picture planting some seedlings!), delivers training on farming and business skills, and provides funds for members of the community to borrow as loans which they can use to cover school fees, hire land, buy seeds and all sorts - any donations can make such a big difference!
