Felsted - Teach Uganda/Safi Coffee’s story
Lulu, Tilly, Poppy and Bea will be running the Cambridge Half Marathon in March to raise funds for Teach Uganda/Kirima, a charity very close to all of our hearts.
They tell us in their own words why they are running:
Bea says, “We are four Lower Sixth pupils from Stocks's who are running a Half Marathon to raise funds and awareness for Teach Uganda. Over the past four years in Stocks's, we have exchanged letters with students at the Great Lakes School, and their stories have inspired us to raise as much money as possible to support primary, secondary, and college-level education in Uganda. In their letters, the students shared their strong passion for science and their amazing ambition for the future. We hope that the money raised will go towards new laboratory equipment and improved teaching, helping them to achieve their future goals.”
Lulu says, ““The Stocks’s girls love receiving letters from the children in Uganda, it is a great privilege to get to know them and exchange life stories. I am now looking forward to running to support them. I believe everyone needs a good education and this is an important charity that delivers. The marathon will be a challenge but as a team we are determined to support Teach Uganda!”
Poppy says, “This is a personal challenge - I want to push myself beyond my comfort zone. I am running for Teach Uganda, a very special charity that supports children who otherwise wouldn’t have an education - Thank you for your support: every penny makes a difference!”
Tilly says, “I am running the Cambridge Half Marathon in support of Teach Uganda. This is a great charity to support and one that Stock’s are committed to supporting. I am pushing myself to do this as it’s a distance I have never run before. It will be a great challenge for me.”
The goal is to help provide quality education to children in Uganda who are in desperate need of resources and support. By sponsoring Lulu, Tilly, Poppy and Bea, you're not only encouraging them but also contributing to the bright futures of children who deserve access to learning and opportunity. Every donation would be greatly appreciated - join them in supporting Teach Uganda and transforming lives!
