Holly’s story
The Ministry of Health in Moldova, now requires all schools to supply their teachers and pupils with hand sanitiser for use on a daily basis. Despite introducing this new rule to the Directors of each school, no additional budget is provided to fund the sanitiser. Whilst the team of volunteers where at the school in Bursuceni during the August 2024 project trip, we heard directly from the Director, Ala, who explained the school only had a £200 budget for hygiene supplies for the full school year, which was not enough to cover toilet paper, soap, cleaning supplies etc anyway, so being able to buy hand sanitiser was going to be very difficult.
TEECH will provide 20 pallets of sanitiser to 20 or more schools and institutions during the Christmas 2024 trip and is looking for individuals and/or companies to sponsor a pallet. The sponsorship is £200 per pallet which will be used by TEECH to fund the transport of the aid, which covers the ferry, road tolls, customs paperwork, diesel, ad blue etc for the artic.
If you would like to donate either to fund a whole or part of a pallet, then please do so through this Wonderful page. Please then email confirmation to [email protected] so a label can be added to your pallet showing your support.
Note: Fundraising is also going on elsewhere, therefore the target reflects the amount left to raise.
