Open Book’s story
This year, Open Book is turning 10!
To celebrate, we're launching a fundraising campaign so we can continue to improve access to literature and the connections and creativity it inspires.
If you would like to support our work, you can donate here. We're using Wonderful.org so every penny you give goes directly to us. Your donation will have double the impact because we've secured match funding - for every £1 donated, Open Book receives £2.
About Open Book
We run over 1200 shared reading and creative writing sessions each year, in over 70 communities. People come together to read fiction and poetry aloud and talk about it as a way of connecting with others.
90% of people who attend our sessions tell us they feel more positive as a result and 94% feel more connected to other people.
Open Book is a registered charity in Scotland. Charity number SC043827.
Fundraising Targets
All funds raised will be passed to the charity irrespective of whether my target is reached, not reached or exceeded.
