Becky’s story
It was never a fully-baked idea for fellow Dramatherapist Becky to complete 50 marathons before her 50th Birthday party in May 2023. BUT the challenge has reared its head and of course, Becky is rising to the challenge!
Becky is not only completing this challenge for herself - she has agreed to complete the last 8 marathons in support of us!
The British Association of Dramatherapists' Charity raises funds to support Dramatherapy research and services in the community.
We will be celebrating each individual marathon that Becky completes, and you can too!
If it's a marathon-by-marathon donation or one single donation, it all counts and will be gratefully received!
Those that have completed even one marathon will KNOW by the callouses on their feet and their achy bones just how challenging it is to do the 26.2 mile journey as fast as they can, so please believe us when we say this is a magnificent feat!
Becky ran her very first marathon in Edinburgh back in May 2013.
She now has EIGHT more marathons to complete to meet her target of 50 marathons before her 50th Birthday party ...
and, by George, we want to give her as much support and motivation as possible!
Becky ran another THREE Marathons in what was left of 2022 and now has another 5 to run in 2023.
Sunday 30th October - Pumpkin Plod
Saturday 26th November - Turkey Trot
Saturday 17th December - Christmas Canter
Sunday 15th January - Becky's 47th Marathon
Saturday 18th February - Becky's 48th - Road Marathon
Sunday 12th March -Cambridge Boundary - Becky's 49th Marathon
The BADth Charity will then receive updates of Becky's future marathon bookings and we will be keeping her supporters updated throughout 2023.
