Arthur’s story
Ceres is taking part in a virtual rowing challenge with Ricardo to race the distance of the Mangoky River to raise money for Hoveraid.
Hoveraid is a UK based charity who design, build and operate hovercraft to provide humanitarian aid to remote communities where conventional land or water vehicles cannot operate. One of these regions are the banks of the Mangoky river where Hoveraid have been operating since 2006, providing crucial access to medical supplies and doctors to people who cannot usually be reached.
The event is open to all employees at Ceres to participate, with as many rowers as possible rowing 10-15 minute full-paced sessions which will be totalled to race half the distance of the Mangoky River in competition with Ricardo.
Donations will go to Hoveraid and will be used to build and ship their next hovercraft, the River Rover Mark 4B, to Madagascar.
