Andrew’s story
I'm taking part in the HoverAid rowing challenge on April 20th. I will be part of a team aiming to row a total of 160km on rowing machines in the best time we can achieve. I'm going to be rowing 8km as fast as I can to post a time on the Gorge Dash individual challenge, and then I'm going to add as much extra distance as I can on the day as part of the team. Please could you sponsor me for the 8km timed section and be as generous as you can be - I'm going to need all the help I can get to post a decent time!! If you want to join in then have a look at this event - we will be running a location in Cambridge or you can do it on your own rowing machine at home or at your local gym. There is a team challenge too for the best 160km!
Why am I doing it? the Mangoky river is 320km from the mouth to a village called Tsivoky, and we want to be able to get there with our new hovercraft taking teams of doctors to places we've never been able to get to before. Please help me raise money towards this so we can get the hovercraft out to Madagascar later this year.
