Kendra’s story
Hi, I'm Kendra and I have been selected to be one of the young people representing the UK on the World Scout Jamboree. This is an amazing opportunity which will mean that I get to meet with other Scouts from all over the world.
The 25th World Scout Jamboree is taking place in South Korea in 2023. 40,000 scouts from all over the world will be coming together to share their cultures and in the unity that Scouting brings.
This trip cost £4,000. 25% of this goes to help Scouts in developing countries share in this amazing experience. This is a lot of money for me to raise. So far, I have mowed lawns, looked after pets, set up a tuck shop, made scrunchies, made Swedish candles (learning to use a chainsaw was fun!), run a bar, and been a human noticeboard. Only being 13 years old, there is a limit to what I can earn. I’m very willing to work but also happy to take any donations!
