Fundraising SCSJ’s story
Support our activities beyond the curriculum!
At SCSJ, we are committed to giving every child the chance to flourish — not only academically, but socially, emotionally, and creatively.
Funds raised through our charity St Clements and St James' Trust are used to make this possible by supporting three key areas of whole-child development:
- After-school clubs that promote learning, belonging and fun
- ELSA, Care to grow and pastoral support to nurture mental health and emotional wellbeing
- Theatre, museum and cultural trips and residential trips that broaden horizons and bring learning to life
We're aiming to raise £5,000-£10,000 in 2026-2027.
Your donation will go directly into the charity, allowing us to sustain and expand these vital opportunities, which we could not deliver without additional funds.
In today’s climate of rising costs and stretched school budgets, individual donors are more important than ever.
With grants harder to secure and core funding under pressure, unrestricted gifts from supporters like you give us the freedom to act where the need is greatest — whether that’s a child needing therapy, a club at risk of closing, or a class trip we want to say yes to.
HELP US TO RAISE FUNDS FOR....
🎨 After-School Clubs: Safe, Inclusive, and Enriching
Our school community is proud to offer a wide and growing range of after-school clubs, open to children across year groups.
Current clubs include:
Football – promoting teamwork, discipline and physical fitness
Drama – building confidence, imagination and collaboration
Jaffa Club – exploring values and community through stories and reflection
Arts & Crafts – encouraging creativity and calm
Boxing Fitness – developing resilience and focus
Singing – inspiring joy, expression and vocal skills
Science Club – sparking curiosity through hands-on experiments
These clubs give children the chance to discover new interests, strengthen friendships, and feel a true sense of belonging beyond the classroom.
Your donation could help us:
• Fund staffing, equipment and materials
• Subsidise places for children from lower-income families
• Keep all clubs free and inclusive for those who need them most
💛 ELSA & Care to Grow: Emotional Support That Makes a Difference
With growing mental health needs among young people, our in-school ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support) and art therapy sessions offer a crucial lifeline.
These programmes create safe, nurturing spaces where children can process feelings, build emotional resilience, and regain confidence.
Your support could help us:
• Provide regular ELSA sessions and training
• Purchase therapeutic art supplies
• Expand wellbeing provision across year groups
🎭 Theatre, Culture & Educational Visits
We believe that powerful learning happens outside the classroom, too.
Through visits to theatres, museums, cultural sites and nature spaces, we give pupils access to enriching experiences they might not otherwise have — from their first gallery tour to a life-changing residential.
Your gift could:
• Cover transport and ticket costs
• Ensure trips are inclusive for all pupils
• Support real-world learning linked to our curriculum
One Fund. Many Opportunities.
By donating to our Enrichment Fund, you are helping us invest in every aspect of a child’s development — mind, heart, and imagination.
Your generosity ensures that every child has the chance to explore their potential, connect with others, and create lasting memories, regardless of financial circumstances.
Thank you for being part of our community. Together, we can help every child shine.
