Suicidal depression
This is one of the many devastating side effects of war. Servicemen and women who have put their lives on the line to protect our freedoms often return home and struggle to deal with the horrors they've witnessed. Imagine a job that asks you to risk your life on a daily basis and has this level of danger, stress and fear? Then, when you arrive back to safe, civilized society and struggle to cope, there is nowhere to turn?
Thankfully, due to charities like Veterans at Ease, this is becoming a thing of the past. PTSD, suicidal depression, anxiety are just some of the things that the charity helps our veterans overcome so they can go on to lead happy and productive lives.
That is why I am doing 12k through mud, fire, ice and 25 gruelling obstacles - to raise money for this extremely worthy cause. Please give whatever you can - all donations will be very much appreciated.
