Twenty4Seven’s story

At Twenty4Seven Education, we are proud to partner with Legasee Educational Trust, a charity committed to preserving and sharing the personal stories of British military veterans. Through this partnership, we help schools access Legasee’s free digital archive, filled with first-hand accounts of military service, key historical events, and personal experiences that bring history to life in the classroom.
Legasee’s volunteer filmmakers, writers and educators are passionate about preserving military heritage. The hi-definition video archive offers exclusive interviews with veterans from 1939 to present. Every individual’s story is remarkable, but together they form an invaluable record of modern military history.
This fundraiser will help continue the work and improve the way they deliver education in schools and universities.
A Rich Archive for Teaching and Learning
The Legasee Archive goes beyond major military events—it captures personal resilience, innovation, and the realities of
life in service.
Students can explore:
- First-hand perspectives on conflicts from WW2 to the Cold War, the Falklands, and beyond.
- Social history—evacuation, rationing, and changing roles in society.
- Lesser known stories, such as our dedicated Women’s Royal Army Corps project, which explores the experiences of servicewomen who broke barriers, challenged stereotypes, and paved the way for women in the Army today.
- Personal experiences of resilience, teamwork, and leadership—valuable for PSHE and Citizenship.
