Ben’s story
I want my son to grow up curious about the people around him, confident enough to ask questions, and knowing that his voice matters.
A charity called Legasee, founded by a friend of mine, has created a wonderful educational programme called Local Heroes to help young people do exactly that. By interviewing inspiring people from their own communities, they develop confidence, communication skills and a real sense that they can make a difference.
But it’s a small charity, run entirely by volunteers, and turning a good idea into a national programme takes funding.
So, to help raise some of that money, I’m taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge, climbing the three highest mountains in the UK in just 24 hours.
Your support will motivate me when my glutes groan, my knees seize and my thighs cramp!
