Angela’s story

Hi everyone, most of you know our family lost the most wonderful husband, father, son and brother to mention just a few of his titles, but most of all he was our best friend, confidant and motivator. Throughout his illness George encouraged us to live life to the full, or in his words “get busy living”. Something that has helped enormously following his passing has been the ability to get out and run. Running in the highlands simply can’t get much more picturesque and is definitely good for the soul. With this in mind, we have decided to raise money by running for a wonderful cause, Skye Cancer Care. I will therefore be running the Skye half marathon on the 11th of September and then be joined by my step son Danny in running the Baxter’s loch ness marathon on the 3rd of October.
Skye Cancer Care were there for us during George’s cancer journey and helped to ensure he had what he needed and was able to spend his last days at home with those he loved. It’s a local charity providing vital support to the community at such a critical time. Any small donation would be gratefully received.
Thank you so much
Angie and Danny
