My Story:
I have been in scouting since the age of 8. And ever since then, I have been involved with every meeting, camp, and event. However, I have always enjoyed camps. Hanging out with my friends, singing funny campfire songs, staying up late and waking up early for the fun activities - but this year, we are going bolder; Switzerland.
What is the actual event I'm fundraising for?:
This event is called 'Climb the Eiger'. Although we're not actually climbing the Eiger yet, we are preparing to walk the huge mountain in Switzerland. My goal is to do at least 12-15 laps so that I can try to get to the grand total necessary: 1800 metres.
Why you should help us:
This trip will be going on during the summer, and what better way to spend it... In Switzerland?! This fun camp is going to be the best way to kick off our summer, and the best way to have fun whilst keeping in touch with the scouting parts too; cooking food on campfires, singing campfire songs with other scouting groups, hiking mountains and having the best time on our activities!
Although donating fifty pence or a pound seems small, you would still be helping us massively by helping fund the remaining amount for our trip. Do you wanna be that person to help make a group of Explorers' summer amazing? Then please help our cause!
