Ron’s story
On the morning of October 14th, I will be hanging around the Olympic Park in Stratford on the highest ‘fresh air’ abseil in Europe (272’).
I'm one of a small group of 'intrepid' abseilers looking to raise a total of £5000 for Legasee. 'Why on earth?' you ask. Well, I’m a Trustee of the charity which I am passionate about and which deserves as much recognition as possible for the work we do.
There are two ways you can support me/them:
- I realise that this is probably not ‘L’aventure du choix’ for most of you of a similar generation to me. But many of you have kids and even grandkids who would LOVE to do it. There are still some places left so let me know and I'll get them on the list so they can come and hang out with me!
- If you don't know anyone who wants to take part, then the alternative is to give generously (think of it as a fine for not participating).
