VAEF’s story
A local community campaign has been launched, to help ensure that no child living in Epping Forest, will go without receiving a Christmas present, this year.
Essex Police, Voluntary Action Epping Forest, United In Kind and Epping Forest District Council, have set up the seasonal community initiative, which is now running for a third, consecutive year.
Last year, over 90 gifts were donated, or purchased with crowd-funded money; and distributed to children, aged between 2 and 18, that had been referred by local schools and frontline children and family service providers, based in the Epping Forest district.
Local residents and businesses will again be able to support the scheme and donate a gift, or purchasing funds, in the following ways:
- Donating to this Epping Forest Christmas Giving Wonderful Donation page
or
- Selecting and purchasing a gift from the Essex Police Amazon wish list page: Amazon.co.uk
or
- Delivering an unwrapped gift to the reception desk at EFDC Civic Offices:
- 323 Epping High St, CM16 4BZ. Mon – Fri 9am-5pm, before December 15 2022
With the rising cost of living having an increasing impact on many household budgets, organisers hope that the Epping Forest Christmas Giving scheme will make an even more welcomed impact, to local families, than in previous years.
